Experience: the buildings from the 1800s, stunning alleys, shopping, historical sites, culture, local market, and unique architecture.
The tour starts between 08h30 and 09h00 with a pick-up from your hotel on board an air-conditioned vehicle to Stone Town. This walking guided tour includes a visit to the Anglican Cathedral which is a former slave market to explore more about the past Zanzibar slave trade. A walk through the local market will let you meet the culture of the island from the locals while experiencing the fish market, fresh tropical agriculture products, and a unique colorful crowd at the bustling market. Wandering through the alleys while your professional tour guide outlines the information on Zanzibar’s wooden carved doors, the life in stone town, and historical buildings while your camera captures some stunning scenes, the children play on the paved streets and elders engage in local board games and taking the cup of coffee is a rare experience not to miss. During the tour, we covered all the necessary areas of the town like the Arab Old Fort, the House of Wonders, the Freddie Mercury House, and the Sultan Palace Museum.
The Stone Town tour is designed to suit everyone’s interests and the time frame to get the most out of it. Shopaholics have enough time in excellent gift shops with plenty of souvenirs and handicrafts to choose from while culture and history lovers will be satisfied with such a flexible trip.

Tour Reviews
What can I say? Zanzibar was an amazing experience from beginning to end. Thanks to Dolly Tours. I must say Dolly’s knowledge of Zanzibar is very impressive. She has a deep understanding of the history of Zanzibar, which made the experience come alive. My personal experience with Dolly felt like I hired a friend for the trip. She was so nice and accommodating. She was professional yet personable. As this was a business trip, we didn’t get to do much in terms of activities but we visited Stone town. Every shop, store and restaurant that Dolly took us to was part of what we were looking to experience in Zanzibar. The dinner location was 5Star. I plan on visiting Zanzibar again with my family and if available I would definitely request Dolly Tours. I also highly recommend Dolly and her company for superb service and attention to detail. Thank you so much for a memorable visit to Zanzibar!
